The Cham Redux Storm takes the DNA of Merrell's archival Chameleon family – a genuine cult classic among hiking obsessives – and rebuilds it from the ground up for genuinely wet British conditions. A GORE-TEX membrane keeps the waterproofing serious while the toggle lace closure and elastic lace keeper mean you can get it on and adjusted in seconds, gloves and all. The FloatMax foam midsole adds a noticeably soft, smooth underfoot feel, while the recycled webbing pull tab and TPU heel counter are the kind of small details that make a shoe easier to actually live in day to day. It works just as well dashing between meetings as it does on a soggy dog walk, which is precisely the point.
